How To Make Models
You must have often made models for school projects. Models are a three dimensional reproduction of something on a smaller scale and so look much cuter than the original version. For many, making models is a favourite pastime. What about you?
Materials required
Models can be made with anything found around the house. The materials which are usually used are paper, wood, clay, wax, plasticine, play dough, cardboard, plaster of Paris, thermocole, papier-mache etc.
You will also need scissors, glue, a modeling knife, paints, coloured paper, crepe paper and of course a picture of the thing or building you are going to make a model of.
What to make?
Models can be made of important and famous buildings and monuments like t the leaning tower of Pisa, the pyramids of Egypt, the ruins of Great Wall Of China, Taj Mahal, etc.
Otherwise, you could make a model of a ship, engine, train, plane, bridge, car, computer, telephone, television or an island, a river, a desert, an oasis, a garden, a forest etc.
Tiny airports, railway stations and markets can also be made. Use small dolls where people are needed and cotton dabbed in green paint to show tiny shrubs.
Girls who like to play with dolls can make a dollhouse. Wrapping paper can make good wallpaper and coloured tissue paper would look good as curtains. Small pieces of carpets, matchboxes, stickers, thread, little pots and pans could also come handy.
So look around you, use your imagination and make a model of your favourite thing.
